La Vie en rose

For our final Valentine’s themed selection this month, we recreate the iconic song "La Vie en rose" by Édith Piaf, arranged for piano 4-hands by Kyunghoon Kim. “La Vie en rose” can be interpreted as, “Life through rose-colored glasses”. Édith Piaf herself lived a tragic life, but somehow never lost hope that she would find true love.

To pay homage to Édith Piaf’s own recording, as well as Louis Armstrong’s wonderful rendition, we added some special effects to make the recording sound like it came straight off of a vinyl record, and the video itself looks like it came off of an old fashioned film projector!

You can get a copy of Kyunghoon Kim’s wonderful piano 4-hand arrangement at https://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0218649&gclid=Cj0KCQiA6LyfBhC3ARIsAG4gkF8lQmzu_poJWum5b29kYWJ3-flO4ohW9tS1I5nZYVQr8JSE7YMUbpQaAgF1EALw_wcB
